Born to a family of Italian immigrants who had settled in Brazil in the early 1900s, Junior Daros was first introduced to the world of cabinetry as a young boy visiting his school’s woodshop.
Captivated by the craftsmen’s skill in creating custom furniture, this event sparked a lifelong fascination with the art of woodworking for Junior.
HONING HIS CRAFT
As Junior grew older, he yearned to harness those same skills and create his own unique pieces.
With his father’s guidance, he began experimenting with tools and techniques, starting by building custom speaker boxes as a hobby, and as time passed by, many other new inventions came along.
Driven by an innate desire to excel, Junior’s first action was to hone his craft, determined to master the art of cabinetmaking.
REAL ESTATE’S UNEXPECTED TURN
Later in life, as an adult, Junior ventured into the real estate business, building apartments to resell.
However, he soon encountered a challenge – he needed to furnish the apartments with high-quality, custom-made furniture, but the cabinetmakers he had hired were unable to deliver the timely, precise results he demanded.
BECOMING A CABINETMAKER HIMSELF
Faced with this obstacle, Junior made the pivotal decision to take matters into his own hands, becoming a cabinetmaker himself to ensure his exacting standards were met.
Leveraging his family’s legacy of craftsmanship and attention to detail, Junior built a thriving cabinetry business, that combined cutting-edge technology with old-world artistry.
ESTABLISHING MAHOGANY KITCHENS IN FLORIDA
After years of honing his skills in Brazil, Junior later moved his family to the United States, where he established Mahogany Kitchens in Florida.
